Market-leading Verisure usually gets a high rating in PC for Everyone’s tests of home alarms, most recently this autumn. But the giant has ended up in windy weather after a thorough review signed Aftonbladet. During Thursday came new tasks about the routines of the home alarm company. Former employees testify anonymously about how embarrassing, often lightly dressed or even naked, footage from the alarm system’s surveillance cameras circulates in the workplace.
An interviewed source must have previously held a higher position at the company. According to him, it happened that people ended up in the picture without clothes after the alarm was triggered. Then employees should have encouraged each other to go in and look at the current sequence in the system.
Other sources include a customer service employee at Verisure, who tells Aftonbladet that it is “generally known” that the alarm center sometimes has fun with lightly dressed pictures of customers.
– People laugh at it and say that they would never have a camera in the bedroom, says the source to Aftonbladet and clarifies that he has never seen such a picture himself, but that operators usually send to each other.
Verises’ CEO Daniel Särefjord has received meet the information and says that the company does not recognize itself in how it and its employees are described in the article. He also points out that no footage from the cameras can be accessed before an alarm system is actually triggered.
Verisure has also published A statement on its site, as well as a FAQ on how the alarm system works.
