Amazon is facing a substantial fine against the GDPR

Amazon has not shot itself, which has meant that they have gone on a hefty fine as they violated the GDPR law, billion fines even.

Amazon makes huge money, which is not a secret exactly. But even if you do, you have to follow laws and regulations, especially the GDPR which came into force in 2018 where Amazon has not made enough changes and improvements to comply with the law.

This led to the French privacy group “La Quadrature du Net” choosing to sue Amazon and now the verdict has finally come according to Bloomberg which says that Amazon must pay a total of 746 million euros in fines, this corresponds to approximately 7.6 billion kronor.

But not entirely unexpectedly, Amazon will appeal this ruling as they believe they have made the necessary changes and should not go for this slap.
