It’s been seven wild months Back 4 Blood launched, and we’re so excited for today’s release Tunnels of terror, the game’s first downloadable content (DLC) expansion. New Cleaners, new Ridden, new unlockable skins, new maps, a new difficulty – this isn’t even about all the features being rolled out, but let’s get into it a bit, shall we?
Are you and your team brave enough to explore the Ridden Hives? Rumor has it that the more risks you take, the more rewarding such exploration becomes – at least if you give in to the temptation to keep going. Be warned though, by venturing into these dark and strange tunnel-like formations beneath Evansburgh, you’ll be dealing with the new Warped Ridden with never-before-seen attacks that are definitely not for the faint of heart. After all, if you think the Crusher has issues with personal space, I’ve got some news on the Shredder that will give you a better understanding of why Holly hates free hugs.
Fancy a challenge? Our latest difficulty, No Hope, is now available as a free update for everyone Back 4 Blood owners and offers that extra level of danger, requiring the very best of the best to get that blood pumping. In the event that your deck needs a few revisions to handle No Hope, there are new cards available that can give you the extra boost needed to overcome. Heng and Sharice, our two newest additions to the Heroic Cleaners, also offer some unique benefits that you may find beneficial (and somewhat reminiscent of piñatas).
A friendly reminder to all: Playable content in our Tunnels of terror expansion is accessible to all players in a party as long as one player in that party has purchased the expansion. We have put a lot of work into Tunnels of terror, so believe me when I say that a lot of extra blood, sweat and tears went into our first expansion. We hope you love it as much as we do. Until next time, we’ll see you in Fort Hope!
Available as part of the Tunnels of terror expansion, Ridden Hives is an all-new co-op activity for teams of up to four players to explore seven different dungeons full of labyrinthine tunnels beneath the depths of Evansburgh infested by Warped Ridden. And they offer exclusive rewards, if you can outsmart and defeat these new enemies, including the landmine-setting Urchins, monstrous Shredders and damage-dealing Rippers. The expansion also introduces two new playable Cleaners: Sharice, a firefighter and Heng, a tough, no-nonsense restorer, along with eight exclusive character skins, seven new legendary weapons, 12 new weapon skins, new maps and more.
