Bang & Olufsen releases new wireless speaker

Bang & Olufsen has now presented its new wireless speaker, Beosound Level. The speaker promises to deliver impressive sound, high-quality craftsmanship and a modular design for durability. The latter will make the speaker last for decades by making it easy to repair and technically upgrade.

The speaker has a slim design with a built-in handle and can stand up, hang on the wall or lay down, whereupon the system optimizes sound playback both according to the position as well as the current room.

Beosound Level is 105 watts and uses a total of five drivers consisting of two 4-inch woofers, a 2-inch full range driver, two 0.8-inch tweeters and a low distrotion amplifier to create a customizable sound that can deliver 79db bass and 96db in the middle spectrum.

The speaker works together with Spotify Connect, Airplay 2 and Chromecast and can withstand dirt and water splashes according to IP54 certification. The battery should last for 16 hours of listening at typical volume.

Beosound Level will be sold online and in Bang & Olufsen’s stores starting February 4. The recommended price is SEK 12,790. An official wall mount will also be available on April 29 for SEK 999.
