There’s something magical about Keanu Reeves, but everyone knows that, right? Borys Pugacz-Muraszkiewicz, English adaptation director at CD Projekt Red, hardly dares to describe him for fear of diminishing the beloved actor, but says that he is charming, talented and powerful.
Keanu Reeves plays Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077, a legendary rocker and activist who died during the recent corporate war that was the scene of the table role-playing game Cyberpunk 2020. In Cyberpunk 2077, he has somehow been converted into a digital spirit that possesses the player character V through a biochip. As the latest trailer shows, V and Johnny Silverhand don’t really seem to agree. But Borys Pugacz-Muraszkiewicz explains that the strong acting is important to engage the player in both Johnny’s agenda and the V’s. This is probably reinforced by all the memories and flashbacks the characters involuntarily share.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on December 10 for Playstation 4 and Xbox One, Stadia and PC. The game is backwards compatible on Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X / S and will receive a performance upgrade that will benefit from the new hardware sometime next year.
