Barely six months have passed since the best teams and players in the world, gathered in the Aviici Arena and settled in the first Counter-Strike: Global Offensive major since the start of the pandemic. The major tournaments have the highest prize pool and are considered to be the most glorious.

The game developer Valve is involved and contributes with its knowledge and cash flow to keep these a high level, both for the players and the viewers. Normally, the supporters have two majors a year to look forward to, but have only been able to enjoy the high-class gaming once since 2019.

The plans before the pandemic were to have one 2020 major in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which for obvious reasons needed to be canceled. The hopes of the supporters are to be able to watch two tournaments again during the year and according to information, the competition organizer ESL is trying to get this autumn’s edition back to Rio.

What now, however is spikat is this spring’s tournament, which will visit Belgium for the first time. More specifically, Antwerp will be the host city in mid-May. The organizer, PGL, is the same one who organized the tournament in Stockholm last year. Will it be the Ukrainian Navi that tops the podium again or will any other organization be able to break their great form? We will see later this spring.
