A month ago, the news came that two of the best Swedish CS: GO players ever were put on the bench by their team Dignitas. These were Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund and Richard “Xizt” Landström, the duo who made up two-fifths of the historic Ninjas in Pajamas era.
It was also this five who chose to found their own team in the beginning of 2020 under the organization Dignitas. Here we would see four of the historically best Swedes get to play together again under the coaching of the fifth teammate, Robin “Fifflaren” Johansson.
Mediocre results mixed with a certain amount of bad luck have paved the way since the team was founded. One of Dignita’s greatest strengths was the combined experience they gained by being in the top tier for such a long time. An experience that would help them squeeze in rounds when the press was at its greatest, in front of thousands of spectators. But with a pandemic that canceled all LAN tournaments, the team has had a hard time competing with the younger opponents who are all too used to playing from home.
Dignitas has thus chosen to place GeT_RiGhT and Xizt on the bench. Haris “H4RR3” Hadžić from Norway and the Swede Ludvig “HEAP” Alonso, who previously won both the Swedish elite series and the Fragleague, will replace him.
