November 12-15, you have the chance to play a little Elden Ring.
Yesterday announced Bandai Namco that their hotly anticipated action role-playing game Elden Ring will be delayed by one month until February 25, 2022. The reason is that the game contains such depth and player freedom that the developer From Software needs a little extra time to sort everything out.
I interpret this as general polishing and balancing, as well as the eradication of bugs. We have all realized that large games with a lot of freedom of choice and open mechanics entail so many variables that bugs can occur a bit everywhere. Therefore, it’s nice to hear that the game gets a little extra oversight before release.
We want and can wait for a really good game. Hasty games are avoided!
Fire Call Network Test
According to tradition, From Software holds network tests for its games. In connection with the delay, Bandai Namco announced that also Elden Ring will hold a test. The network test helps players test the game’s network functionality. The network test is closed and you need to be admitted to it. To be included in the draw, you need to register your interest with Bandai Namco, Then you get to keep an eye on your mailbox.
During the closed network test, players will experience the first hours of Elden Ring and get a taste of what the full game has to offer. It is not explicitly stated but you will most likely not retain your character or progress to the release. The trial version is probably of a limited data file and not compatible with the finished product.
