Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 2 removes building, adds Doctor Strange

wow this is bold: Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 2 has launched and the build has been removed, at least for the next nine days. Those of you who play Battle Royale from Epic Games will know that building is a key component of combat, as players use it as an impromptu means of defense. But this new season removes the mechanic temporarily, replacing it with a new Overshield system that you’ll need to manage alongside your regular shield and health.

Other adjustments have been made to the game, including running speed and parkour-like movement mechanics. The theme is Resistance, and we have a feeling that the developer has tried to create a more intense and combat-focused loop for this season. You can even shoulder open the doors in a pinch and invest your hard-earned gold in an armored battle bus. It all sounds like brilliant fun.

There are new weapons, such as Combat SMG and Striker Burst Rifle, while tanks will allow you to take the battle to your opponents. Meanwhile, the new Battle Pass includes the likes of Doctor Strange, as well as some new and returning faces. You can watch the story trailer above and be reminded that buying the new Battle Pass will really help the humanitarian effort in Ukraine.
