Game-destroying bug in Cyberpunk 2077’s new 1.1 update

The role-playing game Cyberpunk 2077 continues to be plagued by technical problems. The game, which was originally released in December, quickly became known for being extremely buggy. As a result, developer CD Projekt Red has released several major updates, of which the first major PC update, 1.1, was released last week to address all technical issues.

Now reports Eurogamer that the new 1.1 update has also created an even worse problem for some players who risk ruining their entire experience. Namely, a new bug means that some players do not get a certain call required during the mission “Down on the Street”. Which in turn makes them unable to move on.

CD Projekt Red is aware of the problem and is working on a solution. According to the developer, there is a way to get around the bug but it depends on the player having a save file earlier in the game.

If so, the player can load a save file before Takemura and V leave Wakako’s office. The player must then end the conversation with Takemura outside the office immediately and after that, when the mission is updated, jump forward 23 hours. After that, the player should get the call as it should.

CD Projekt Red has previously said that they will release another major 1.2 update to Cyberpunk 2077 in the near future.
