At this year’s WWDC, we can see major updates of the upcoming iOS 16, Ipad OS 16 and Watch OS 9, at least if we are to believe the renowned Bloomberg journalist and Apple analyst Mark Gurman.
In a new edition of his newsletter Power on, Gurman writes that iOS 16 can get “quite big improvements” regarding, among other things, notices and new health functions. Ipad OS 16 will also be able to take part in these changes. However, he does not believe that the systems will have any major visual transformations.
Done: Then this year’s edition of WWDC kicks off
Watch OS 9 can get real updates in terms of health and activity tracking. Gurman has previously said that 2022 could be a big year for Apple’s smartwatch, something that can also be shown on the software front at WWDC in June.
However, Gurman does not estimate that Apple will show any products linked to the company’s mixed reality investments. However, iOS 16 should be “packed with references to the headset and how it interacts with the iPhone”. It also indicates that the headset will be launched during the iOS 16 cycle, ie sometime between autumn 2022 and autumn 2023.
So expect the rumor mill to pick up speed as soon as developers and others get their hands on the first beta version of iOS 16.
