Here are Nio’s new technology-packed Model 3 challengers

During its Nio Day on December 18, the hyped Tesla challenger and Chinese carmaker Nio unveiled a new technology-packed mid-range sedan, called the ET5. The model is packed with new technology, including a 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos surround sound system and light strips that can handle 256 colors.

The car also comes with scar glasses, developed together with Nreal. These should be able to project a perceived 201-inch screen at a distance of six meters, possibly best suited as entertainment during a charging stop.

The car supports reasonably autonomous driving with what the company calls Nine Autonomous Driving (NAD), and comes with three battery sizes. 75 kWh in Standard Range configuration, 100 kWh for Long Range and not less than 150 kWh in an Ultralong Range model. There are no wltp numbers, but according to the Chinese cycling cycle cltp, the largest battery should take the car over 100 miles on a single charge.

It is already clear that Nio will come to Sweden in 2022. We have not been able to confirm whether this particular model will come here, but it can probably be seen as probable. In China, the model will start sales in the last quarter of 2022, so sales start in Sweden can reasonably be delayed until 2023, or even later.
