Huawei has now chosen to invest in more than just phones in Europe, including screens that come as two different models.
Mateview seems to be able to offer really interesting screens, now for a start it’s about two different models.
Huawei Mateview 28 is a 28.2 inch screen and has a aspect ratio of 3: 2 which is unusual for a screen. The screen will offer 4K + UHD which has a width of 3,840 pixels and a height of 2,560 pixels, unusual but can be quite useful. Ports that you can take advantage of in the screen are Mini Displayport 1.2, HDMI 2.0, USB 3.0 and a USB Type-C.
Huawei Mateview 28 has an IPS panel which, among other things, gives a contrast ratio of 1,200: 1, the brightness is only 500 nits but should still offer HDR 400. This is clearly a screen that focuses on image and video as Huawei themselves say that it is calibrated from the factory, which should support 98 percent of DCI-P3 and 100 percent of sRGB. According to Huawei, the screen must also be certified for TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light and Flicker Free.
The second screen that is perhaps a little more interesting is called Huawei Mateview GT and here we have a screen with a focus on gaming. Among other things, we find a built-in soundbar in the foot of the screen.
Mateview GT has a size of 34 inches with a 21: 9 aspect ratio with a resolution of 3,440 x 1,440 pixels and a refresh rate of 165 Hz. There should be support for both AMD Freesync and Nvidia G-Sync. This is a screen with a curvature but then at 1500R which feels pretty standard.
Mateview 28 will cost SEK 6,999 while Mate GT costs SEK 5,999. Both screens will go on sale in September.
