Hogwarts Legacy is an entirely single-player focused adventure, but we were quietly hoping it would have a full-fledged multiplayer Quidditch minigame to rival the PlayStation 2 indie title, Quidditch World Cup. While the famous wizarding sport was momentarily teased in the title’s latest gameplay trailer, it seems any hope of a competitive online mode may be withering like an underfed mandrake.
A page of frequently asked questions about the official launch website he emphasizes: “Hogwarts Legacy is a single-player experience and has no online or cooperative play.” That’s pretty definitive.
It’s worth noting that Quidditch may very well still be included from a single-player perspective, and in fact, we strongly suspect that Warner Bros will keep it a secret until closer to launch. It’s a shame there isn’t a multiplayer mode, though, because we’ve always dreamed of some form of competitive online Quidditch play. Maybe that’s an idea for the sequel, huh?
