Former Assassin’s Creed producer and EA boss Jade Raymond has announced that she’s set up Haven, a new game studio based in Montreal, Canada, to work on a brand new Playstation brand.
Jade Raymond is best known for being one of the driving forces behind the creation of the Assassin’s Creed series and the Watch Dogs series. She was also the executive producer of the acclaimed Splinter Cell: Blacklist and also formed Motive Studios under EA. Recently, she was head of Google Stadium’s game development before abruptly leaving her position and Google chose to close down its newly launched game studios.
“I could not be more excited about this opportunity to return to my roots and work with this talented team to create a new work together,” Jade Raymond said in a press release.
“Starting an independent studio with the support of Sony Interactive Entertainment gives us full freedom to push the boundaries with the support of a publisher who deeply understands the creative process of making games and who is known for exceptional quality and putting the player first.”
What Haven’s first Playstation game will be and when it will be released is still unknown.
