Class changes

For the first time in more than 11 years, each class will receive balance updates to significantly improve the gameplay experience. After listening to players’ thoughts, opinions and survey responses, a plethora of changes have been made to the game to improve the viability of each class while preserving the class fantasy of our favorite heroes. These balance adjustments were made with an emphasis on expanding more variety in skills and adding more achievable possibilities when playing each class. The game is built around completing the Acts on each difficulty level, so these updates should allow players to play their heroes the way they prefer and even improve the effectiveness of less used skills.

Uber Diablo Changes

By selling Stone of Jordan rings, you can still summon Uber Diablo in Diablo II: Resurrected in the same way as v1.10. To improve the experience for the entire community, the regional database now includes Uber Diablo progress for each game mode. Uber Diablo will appear for everyone in the same region instead of those on the same server instance once enough Stone of Jordan rings are sold. The update also tracks the progress of Uber Diablo by game mode, providing a total of 8 progressions (Classic, Classic Hardcore (HC), Classic Ladder, Classic HC Ladder, Expansion, Expansion HC, Expansion Ladder, Expansion HC Ladder). To better prepare players, we’ve added new posts so that players can expect when Uber Diablo can spawn and experience the true terror of Uber Diablo.

New runic words, recipes, mercenary updates and more

There’s some new content waiting for you if you jump into Patch 2.4’s updates. Experience the new Rune Words that can be created and inserted into correlating socketed gear. New Horadric Cube recipes have been implemented in addition to Set items. Mercenaries now match your character’s level when hired, instead of having a random level difference from your character’s level. In addition, you will find updates to item bonus setup changes, changes to the new level area, item tooltips changes, and other gameplay changes.
