In November, the long-publicized was announced Mass Effect Legendary Edition, a complete remaster of Bioware’s classic role-playing trilogy. And now an official launch date has finally been nailed down, then Mass Effect Legendary Edition will be released on May 14 via Steam and Origin. Check out the trailer!
Mass Effect Legendary Edition will offer “basic content from single player mode and more than 40 dlc from Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3“, Including all released, larger dlc packages as well as extra weapons and armor. Among the visual updates, we find optimized resolutions up to 4K, along with “enhanced models, shaders, effects, lighting and depth of field plus full resolution sound”, as well as much-needed improvements to “hair, makeup, eye color and skin tones” for player-created Shepard models .
When it comes to game mechanics updates, the first game will get the biggest intervention, including “better visibility and weapon balance, better control of Mako, input / controls, squad behavior, protective behavior and game cameras”. The gaming world has also undergone a “complete facelift, including environments, VFX and lighting”.
Finally, all three games also get a “modernized PC experience, with built-in support for widescreen in 21: 9 and improvements to the navigation in the user interface, support for hand control and Direct X 11”.
