Need for Speed Unbound looks to have leaked yet again with the racing game’s store description and artwork appearing on Japanese retailer Newoing.
EA and Criterion’s upcoming arcade racing game Need for Speed Unbound will be officially revealed later today. Still, it seems that keeping it a secret has been something of a disaster. This latest leak from Japanese retailer Neowing looks to have revealed some of the game’s artwork alongside a store description. This follows EA’s recent cover art leak earlier this week.
The game will be officially revealed later today on the Need for Speed YouTube channel, so tune in at 8am PT/11am ET/4pm BST/5pm CEST if you’d like to finally see what’s coming later this year.
Need for Speed Unbound leaks again
As with any leak, we recommend you take this with a pinch of salt until EA reveals the game later today, but it’s certainly a convincing store listing and lines up with what InsiderGaming reported recently. The apparent listing has now been removed from Neowing, but according to Gematsu, only PS5 was listed and featured a December 2nd, 2022, release date. The release date lines up with earlier reports, which also said that Need for Speed Unbound will only launch on current-gen consoles and PC.
According to the leak, the game will have us attempting to “outsmart the cops, and compete in weekly qualifiers for Lakeshore’s ultimate street racing challenge: The Grand.” It looks to feature a graffiti art style, which merges “the latest street art with the most realistic cars in Need for Speed history.” We’ll have a garage to store our vehicles in, and while they’ll be customisable with visual and performance items, so too will our character, as Need for Speed Unbound will of
