New exotic gear in Destiny 2: Beyond Light seems broken – guaranteed fun

A sword with a chainsaw blade? Give me pleasure!

Bungie has shown off some of the exotic items we get Destiny 2: Beyond Light and some of it could potentially shake up PvP. The Titans get an activatable overshield, the Hunters learn to flash again and the Warlocks become poisonous.

Trailers like this, which focus on the core of Destiny, make my heart pump more than anything else and my brain is already spinning on possible builds! I’m a sucker for the forces of darkness and have always been fascinated by legendary characters like Toland. Of course, Necrotic Grip attracts me and its toxic properties go thematically well with Thorn. It may not be meta, but the fascination what fun it will be to spread poison around me as the sour man I am.

Wild playhouse

Some of the items on display also send warning signals of potential chaos in Crucible, Destiny’s PvP mode. All in all, the location is a playhouse where some objects are superior to others – accentuated with offensive touches.

After years of competitive battles, I have personally created a rivalry and aversion to Titans and Hunters that always seems to be blessed with more powerful tools. And now they get another round of PvP-focused exotic items while the Warlocks get to work around the skill issues (yes, we Warlocks are the best). But do Titans really need an overshield? Do Hunters really need a dodge blink when they can do it every ten seconds?

A new year awaits in Destiny 2 and with the new way to get playful with its loadout. What should you equip yourself with?

Exotic future

If we look at Bungie’s website for Beyond Light, we will find a new tab for Gear where each object is given a slightly clearer description. There you can also read more about Stasis and Europe.

In addition to the exotic weapons and armor in the trailer, we know that more exotic objects await us. Hawkmoon, a mythical revolver from Destiny 1 returns with new features. The question is whether this will be the year we get to put our clumsy hands on Gjallarhorn or Vex Mythoclast? The living must see…
