In the latest episode of The Borderlands Show we got to see the new campaign and a new takedown. Takedown at the Guardian Breach released on June 4, while the expansion for the story, with its full name Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption, will be released on June 25.
Takedown at the Guardian Breach is a now endgame trial that tests vault hunters to the limit, at no extra cost. Just like previous takedowns, the difficulty will be adapted to the amount of players, but will best pay out with a team of four players. Together you will explore Minos Prime and the source of the mysterious signal found there. When you arrive, you will be met by a bunch of guardians who do not really follow the same guidelines as their kinsmen, and have transformed Minos Prime.
A few weeks later, a new adventure comes in the form of Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption, which is the third expansion to Borderlands 3.
In Bounty of Blood: A Fistful of Redemption, players get to take on a whole new place, and meet a bunch of new characters, while a narrative voice takes them through the adventure. Players will travel to the barren desert planet Gehenna to collect a call on The Devil Riders, a ruthless gang of bandits terrorizing the small town of Vestige. Along the way, our vault hunters will meet new faces like Rose, a warrior who prefers gun and katana, as well as the more hands-on Juno. Your choices will have direct consequences for Vestige and its inhabitants.
There will also be new gameplay-related additions. JetBeast is a hoverbike that can be tailored to help you get on Gehenna. Players will also find new interactive items that can facilitate heavy fire fighting and exploration. The Traitorweed can turn enemies into allies when shot, Breezebloom boosts the vault hunter which allows him to reach previously unpopular areas. There will also be a whole bus load of new loot for this western-inspired expansion.
