CD Projekt Red announces via Cyberpunk 2077official Twitter that the next shipment of Night City Wire takes place on Monday at 18:00 on Twitch. The broadcast is the second of three planned information sessions for the studio’s long-awaited role-playing games Cyberpunk 2077 and will focus on the game’s three background stories (lifepaths), the weapons we will arm ourselves with and how Svenska Refused mantled the role of the band Samurai.
The announcement does not say explicitly but we can probably expect new gameplay, trailers and press material. Do not miss the shipment. If you should miss the shipment due to an accident, Varvat will compile a summary for you to consume afterwards.
Feel free to read the summary of the first Night City Wire.
Night City Wire 2 – back to the roots
Lifepaths are in Cyberpunk 2077 crucial starting points for your character. There are three distinct origins and all will affect the story start and outcome. When you create your character in Cyberpunk 2077 you get to choose between Street Kid (raised on the street among gangs and lawlessness), Nomad (raised among trading nomads outside of Night City) or Corpo (previous career with a mega-company).
CD Projekt Red has on several occasions said that the background story affects the story, not only from the start, but also during the adventure as they provide access to unique dialogue choices, missions and interactions that in the long run affect the outcome of the story. Exactly how extensive the changes are, however, remains to be seen.
