Nintendo has now revealed that they will release a collection of 3D Super Mario games for the Nintendo Switch. The Super Mario 3D All-Stars as the collection is called will contain a total of three games:
Super Mario 64 which was the character’s 3D debut and which was released in 1996 for Nintendo 64.
Super Mario Sunshine who introduced the water sprayer F.L.U.D.D. and was released for the Nintendo Gamecube in 2002.
And last but not least, the Super Mario Galaxy, which took the plumber into space and was originally released for the Nintendo Wii 2007.

The collection will apparently only be available for a certain time as Nintendo themselves write that the game will be released in a limited edition.
Super Mario 3D All-Stars will be released on September 18 this year and is expected to be available until approximately March 31, 2021.
