Onedrive stops supporting Windows 7 and 8

Microsoft is slowly but surely continuing to stop supporting their older operating systems and soon Onedrive will stop working on Windows 7 and 8.

Onedrive is Microsoft’s answer to cloud service and something that I think quite a few people use that sits on Windows. However, Microsoft now announces that if you are on Windows 7 or 8 (8.1), Onedrive will stop being supported for these old OSes.

It is from January 2022 as the support for Onedrive on these OS is about to disappear and this is probably mainly because you want people to switch to Windows 11 more and more.

But if you are not dependent on the files being synced automatically to Onedrive via these operating systems, you can always upload them manually via the browser if you want to stay on the old operating systems, the recommendation is to upgrade to Windows 10 or 11.
