Oneplus continues to flex its muscles in the lower price segments for smartphones. Now it’s time for the global launch of Oneplus Nord CE 5G, which will be released in three different configurations on June 21. CE stands for Core Edition, and means that this is a phone for you who only need the “most important”. This in turn alludes to things like camera, battery life and relatively generous memory and storage.
The Oneplus manager says: That is why we are investing in cheaper mobile phones
The screen, a 6.43-inch amoled, supports HDR 10+ and 90 Hz frame rate. The processor is the Snapdragon 750G, which was introduced last year and is found in several competing mobiles. It is, as the Oneplus name suggests, equipped with a 5g modem. Memory configurations of 6, 8 and 12 GB of RAM are offered, which is paired with 128, 128 and 256 GB of storage respectively.
The phone weighs in at a paltry 170 grams and a not entirely irrelevant detail is that it is equipped with a 3.5-millimeter socket. This is something that was missing in Oneplus Nord, to be added. The battery is at a respectable 4,500 mAh and can be charged to just over 70 percent in half an hour via its own Warp Charge 30T technology.
Big test: 8 smart mobiles – under SEK 4,000
Oneplus Nord CE 5G is equipped with a three-camera system on the back where the main sensor is a 64-megapixel. An ultra-wide-angle camera with a 119-degree field of view and a decent depth sensor. In front is a 16 megapixel selfie camera.
June 21, it’s time for the start of sales, that is, but Oneplus Nord CE can be pre-booked with Oneplus already today. We at M3 expect to be able to publish a complete test of the phone soon.
