OnePlus themselves confirm that they work on a watch

It is Oneplus’ own CEO Pete Lau who in an interview confirmed that they work on a smartwatch but that it is still far away.

I really like OnePlus latest phones but what I have been missing is a watch from Oneplus, of course there are a lot of other watches that are compatible with Oneplus, but I want to see a watch in the same ecosystem.

Pete Lau confirmed in one interview with Input that they have a clock running, which has been rumored for a long time but now confirmed. But unfortunately we do not know much more than that.

Oneplus is working together with Google to produce the best possible experience in a watch, now the question is when we will see this watch and many believe and hope for in 2021.

A small excerpt from Pete Lau’s interview:

“Wear OS definitely has room to improve. What we’re trying to do is work with Google to try to improve the connectivity between the Wear OS ecosystem, Android TV, and Android smartphones to create this ability for better device interoperability across the ecosystems. This has been something looked at very positively from Google’s side as well, so this is the direction that we’re trying to develop, but we do not have more than we can share on that right now. ”
