This is pretty incredible – the PS5 has been around for over two years now, but has spent most of that time out of stock. Now that platform-holder Sony has finally gotten its supply chain in order, it has unexpectedly discounted the device, with its God of War Ragnarok bundle available through April 16, 2023 for $509.99. That’s a $50 savings on MSRP.
The bundle is also widely available, from retailers like playstation direct, Amazon, Aim, and Best Buy, although there is a caveat that this offer will only be honored while supplies last. The platform holder set some pretty aggressive sales targets for the current fiscal year, and we’re going to take this part of his final drive to achieve them.

If you haven’t bought a PS5 yet, there’s probably never been a better time to get one – the release schedule is packed with amazing games, PSVR2 You’ve just vastly expanded the scope of experiences available on the system, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is just around the corner. There are rumors of a revised hardware model with a removable drive to be released later this year, but this is unlikely to change the core experience much.
Meanwhile, some tipsters have teased a hypothetical PS5 Pro, but it’s unlikely to arrive until late 2024 at the earliest, if it even exists. Sony introduced the PS4 Pro at this point during the previous generation, but the PS5’s lifespan is likely to be extended by the pandemic and the current economic climate, so there’s never been a better time to buy.
