First Person Shooter (FPS)games, as you know, there are as many as you like and most of them can now be played online. Lemnis Gate succeeds with the piece of art to do something completely new, this is probably the first ”4DThe game I ever played.
The fourth dimension in question is time. You have your team and each member experiences exactly the same 25 seconds. You have different assignments; for example, to shoot the enemy’s pods or collect elements, before the enemy takes them. So first out, you have 25 seconds to perform an action. When they are over, you get to choose a new team member and the next round you play the same 25 seconds again. You can now help your former self against the enemy – who may have killed you or stopped you from doing your mission? The enemy now also has a new team member, who must be taken care of. Before each reset, you can, with the help of a drone, see the process, what it looks like and thus be able to choose which team member works best in the situation and where he or she does the most good. All in all, you play the same 25 seconds five times and in the end there will be quite a few threads to keep track of.
Does it sound dizzy? The is it also at first, but soon you get the cuts and it gets really fun. Lemnis Gate is based on strategy and if you can lay traps and stand in strategic places, you have the greatest opportunity to complete the course. There is a sensible and clear tutorial, so it is still quite easy to get into the game.
The only thing that is a pity Lemnis Gate is that it is only possible to play online and thus has no offline story that you can play through to really get the cuts. As I said, there is a tutorial that is good, but it is also quite short and does not give you more than the rules so that you can then manage on your own. The problem with only online is that those you meet are often very good and it quickly becomes frustrating to lose all the time. It is almost impossible to set a degree of difficulty so that you as a beginner get it a little easier, at least at first.
In summary, that is Lemnis Gate a fun and challenging strategy game, unlike any other. An offline mode would have been great, but it will be a warm recommendation!
