Review: Spellbreak (Switch) – SENSES

Nice and well done technically, but has some flaws.

Must honestly admit that min Fortnitecareer lasted for about ten to fifteen minutes. I downloaded it to the Nintendo Switch, got tired pretty quickly and removed the game. Spellbreak similar Fortnite in several aspects: You land from high altitude down on the track, you have a giant map to run over and you are killed in less than ten seconds when you finally find someone to fight…

Spellbreak is nice and well made technically, but I can not really with this type of game. It is as I described in the above very large maps and when you finally get into the game and land, it is a lot of running before I finally find an opponent. Are you sitting on one dull line, you’re done before you’ve even seen the enemy. Do not have levlat high enough you are also dead within seconds. Then you leave the match, have to reload everything again and five minutes later you are back again and then the same thing happens… Again and again ..

I simply do not have the patience required for this genre (Battle Royale). Another thing that really bothers me is that the game is marketed as free-2-play, “free”. It costs nothing to download, but if you want any benefits and avoid going on a rod constantly, you will have to cough up a little jack to get better faster. Unfortunately, there is no limit to how much money you can spend, so if you get stuck in the game, it can quickly become very expensive.

Spellbreak works just as well on the Switch in portable mode, as well as in the dock. The only thing that bothered me a bit was that the text info becomes extremely small in the picture and quite difficult to read – but in terms of gameplay it works well. As I said, you need a fast line so that it does not hack and I experienced that it played a little better in the docked position.

In summary, that is Spellbreak nice and well done technically, but personally I do not like this type of game and I really do not like the idea of pay-to-win. It just feels greedy. The grade is still approved, for whatever it may be Spellbreak a very good Battle Royale game despite its flaws.
