Review: The Company Man – SENSES

Arm yourself with a keyboard, avoid the secretary’s coffee breath and watch out for the boss – who uses trainees as projectiles! It is not entirely easy to survive in this workplace.

The Company Man is basically a classic platforming adventure. You move from left to right, jumping between platforms and defeating enemies. That which separates The Company Man from all other versions of this classic game genre is its humor and design.

You control an ordinary office elf, who one day simply gets enough and wants to rise in the ranks and it is visualized in a very humorous way. The controls are simple and quick to learn. In a classic way, it starts quite easily, but quickly becomes more difficult. The game is fast-paced and fun and the graphics are nice and humorous. The only thing in the cup is when you meet the bosses (as in this game really is the bosses!) so these have none health-bar which makes it impossible for you to know how much more beating they can withstand. It quickly becomes annoying when you die again and again, without having a clue how close or far from the target you were.

The Company Man works perfectly on your Nintendo Switch in both docked and portable position. Charging times are lightning fast, so waiting time is minimal.

In summary, that is The Company Man definitely worth a recommendation. It’s fun, fast-paced and very different from other games in the genre. The price tag is also low and thus makes the game even more desirable!
