A large and cool expansion, but not entirely easy to access once installed.
The original game The Outerworlds was released already in October 2019 and now two major DLCs have been released for it. I have tested Peril on Gorgon and even if the price tag may seem juicy for an expansion, it’s still worth it.
The mission begins with a cryptic message asking us to investigate the Gorgon asteroid. Here is a research station that a lot of fuffs has happened at. Now it’s up to the player to find the clues that reveal the secret of what really happened on Gorgon.
First out so have DLC: n the same layout, nice graphics and humor as the original game. We have the opportunity to find new weapons, abilities and armor on our mission on the planet Gorgon. I am really completely sold on assignments like this on commission; where you get to investigate what happened. That’s why I beg Aliens and Event Horizon so much. Now I will not reveal what it’s all about, but this is really a massive and well-made expansion we are offered.
The only thing that is a pity with this DLC is that you need to be in the right place at all be able to play it. When you play the original game, you must not have come so far that you (Spoiler Alert!) have gone to Tartarus – because then you have no opportunity to come back and play Peril on Gorgon.
Then it is recommended that you have at least leveled your avatar level 20 before embarking on an adventure to the Gorgon asteroid. If you are lower level than that, you have partly too bad equipment and are simply too weak to complete the task.
In summary, that is The Outerworlds – Peril on Gorgon worth one recommendation as it is a well-made, fun and big (about 9-10 hours) expansion (which is not entirely easy to find) and as I said do not play the original game too long (or too short…)
