Samsung has finally presented the Exynos 2200, which not entirely unexpectedly may be a real powerhouse, including RDNA 2 graphics.
At first, the plan was for Samsung to present the Exynos 2200 on January 11, but the day came and we did not see or hear anything about the Exynos 2200. Shortly after that, Samsung announced that it plans to present the Exynos 2200 in connection with the S22 series, but neither it happened but now the Exynos 2200 has been introduced all of a sudden.
Samsung Exynos 2200 will be based on 4nm EUV and this results in eight processor cores which are divided into a powerful Cortex-X2, three Cortex A710 and four energy efficient Cortex A510. When it comes to GPUs, Samsung calls this Xclipse and this will result in AMD RDNA 2, which among other things will make the phones support ray tracing.
In addition to the new CPU and GPU, the NPU has also received a boost, twice as much. The image signal processor has also been given a boost and will now support up to 200MP.
The first Samsung Exynos 2200 we will not quite unexpectedly see in the S22 series, which we hope will be presented in February.
