Samsung has now introduced two new all-in-one smart screens, M5 and M7, which are intended to be used for both work and learning as well as for entertainment.
In addition to connecting to a computer, the screens can also be connected to the mobile via App Casting and Apple Airplay 2. It is also possible to get a complete desktop experience for some mobiles through Samsung Dex.
Thanks to built-in wifi, the screens can run Microsoft Office 365 applications on their own without being connected to a PC. Users can view, edit and save documents in the cloud directly from the screen.
Remote Access also makes it possible to work remotely wirelessly and remotely, whether your computer is elsewhere in your home or office.
Smart screens can also stream entertainment directly from services such as Netflix, HBO, Youtube through Smart Hub, an entertainment platform similar to that of Samsung’s smart TVs.
The screens come with a remote control, voice control via Bixby and have several USB inputs, bluetooth 4.2 and built-in two-channel speakers. The M7 model also comes with USB-C which can be used for display, data and power transmission up to 65W.
The “Adaptive Picture” technology should then optimize the viewing experience based on the content and automatically adjust the brightness and color temperature. There is also a mode for reduced blue light that will make things more comfortable for the eye.
The M5 model has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and comes in variants of 27 and 32 inches. The price is 229.99 dollars, corresponding to approximately 1990 kronor, and 279.99 dollars, corresponding to approximately 2420 kronor. Prices are exclusive of local Swedish supplements such as VAT.
The M7 model instead has a resolution of 3840 x 2160 and is 32 inches. Price is $ 399.99, equivalent to approximately SEK 3,460 excluding local supplements.
The monitors will initially be released in the US, Canada and China but will appear in more markets at the end of November and the beginning of December.
