Towards a breathtaking Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order 2 exclusive to PS5, Xbox Series and PC? A journalist also mentions the name of the game as well as a release window for this sequel.
While Respawn Entertainment (Apex Legends) could officially announce Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order 2 in a few days, new rumors are coming. As often, it is the journalist Jeff Grubb of VentureBeat who informs us.
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order 2: a real next-gen game?
In his show Giant Bomb, Jeff Grubb advances on the fact that the title will be released only on new-gen consoles and on PC. And according to the information he was able to collect from right to left, this sequel would not arrive before 2023.
Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order 2 will only be available in new-gen version, that is to say on PS5, Xbox Series, and of course PC. One of the reasons behind this is that the game won’t arrive until 2023. Clearly, this game won’t be available until 2023. It’s easier to let go of those millions PS4 and Xbox One when you are in 2023 and the inventory situation is better, where it will be easier to get Xbox Series and PS5. And then at the same time, you take advantage of it to create something that feels “new”.
If EA makes this choice, it will indeed allow the publisher to land with a fresher game that would not suffer from cross-gen status. And the publisher may also want to protect itself from a Battlefield 2042 type shipwreck, with all that the puzzle of developing on several platforms of different generations entails.
We recall that the same rumor was heard on the new Need For Speed, namely that it probably intends to do without the PS4 and Xbox One version.
An imminent announcement?
What’s in a few days? May the 4th, the day we celebrate Star Wars. Earlier this year, Jeff Grubb said that Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order 2 could be announced in May. But hey, we could have said that too.
On the other hand, during his last podcast, the journalist states that the name of the game would have another subtitle. In other words, the “Fallen Order” could end up blowing up. Answer in a few days… or not!
