Being able to listen to lossless audio is becoming increasingly popular and more common with several streaming services, now also via Bluetooth soon.
Qualcomm wants us to be able to listen to lossless sound even wirelessly and has now presented what they call aptX Lossless which means that you can simply stream this sound wirelessly via bluetooth.
We will thus be able to stream the same good quality as us from, for example, CDs and this wirelessly for phones that support this. Lossless supports 16-bit 44.1 kHz and this completely wireless. This has been made possible by improving the Bluetooth High Speed Link which needs to send all this data.
Qualcomm has plans to launch aptX Lossless, which in turn will be part of Snapdragon Sound Technology by the end of 2021, but we will most likely see a lot of phones and speakers that support aptX Lossless in 2022.
