Is Square Enix about to announce a new Tactics Ogre game? Maybe a remaster or a remake? It is possible, following this newly publicized trademark for ‘Tactics Ogre: Reborn’ in Japan.
The classic strategy RPG Stone Cold Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together was originally released for the SNES in 1995. It was later ported to the first PlayStation in 1997 and finally remade for the PlayStation Portable in 2010. It is largely considered a precursor of the equally excellent Final Fantasy Tactics.
Now look, before we all get too excited, let’s point out that this trademark could be for anything, even a mobile game. Having said that, an unspecified Tactics Ogre title was part of the big Nividia leak from last year. hmmm.
