After a time of silence has now Tales of ARISE a bunch of new trailers and a release date: September 10 this year. The game will be released for both outgoing (PlayStation 4 and Xbox One) as well as the newer console generations (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S) as well as for PC. All platforms get the game physically and digitally.
The digital editions are called Deluxe and Ultimate and contain all kinds of digital lull-lull. As usual, pre-bookings get a little extra cosmetics in the form of two costumes. Tales of ARISE also gets two physical collector’s editions, one of which (HOOTLE Edition) is exclusive to Bandai Namcos own online store. Both editions come with a little nice shelf heater.
Tales of ARISE marketed as a milestone for the Tales series. The technology that gives the game its alluring look is called “Atmospheric Shader” and is Bandai Namco’s own technology that compliments the Unreal engine (perhaps it is this technology that makes the game not come on Switch in the first place).
The story in ARISE follows a centuries-long conflict between the oppressed planet Dahna and its antagonists Rena. The main characters are a warrior from Dahna named Alphen and a Rena-on-space named Shionne. Their paths cross in the JRPG spirit of two other characters, Rinwell and Law. A trailer is in the header, and a link to some fresh gameplay is below.
