The independent measurement company Umlaut has now ranked Telia’s mobile network as the best in Sweden for the fourth year in a row. I Umlauts Mobile Benchmark 2020test, Telia brings home a total of 939 points 1000 possible. The company also managed to pinch the profit in all three measurement categories, numbers, data and “crowd”. Of which the last is based on measurements via various apps that are common in Swedes’ mobile phones.
Umlaut’s test was performed by traveling over 1000 km by car between Ystad in the south and Luleå in the north. The mobile network has been tested in both smaller and larger cities and along the roads. For scoring, several different parameters are used, such as call quality, download files and watch Youtube.
– Umlaut’s measurements are a very important stamp of quality as it is completely independent and takes into account the customer experience, regardless of whether you talk, surf or use apps. We are extremely proud to once again end up in first place, not least this year when circumstances have made a fast and stable connection never more important. We are now investing an additional billion in the mobile network to be ready for the connected lives of the future, says Anders Olsson, CEO of Telia Sweden, in a press release.
