More about streaming:
Sit on the couch and reach for the remote control. Here you have the 10 most popular series and movies from Disney Plus. A lot is for children, but there are a lot of gold nuggets for you in double digits.
The TV series
Not entirely untipped, The Mandalorian tops the list. The Star Wars spin-off about the intergalactic bounty hunter and the ridiculously cute baby Yoda became a global success.
The TV series Violetta is about the teenager of the same name (played by the Argentine actress Martina Stoessel) who returns to Buenos Aires with her father after living in Europe for several years. The series follows her successes and setbacks as she grows up. A little unpredictable that an Argentine soap opera is so popular in Sweden!
We apparently like Argentine soap. On the top list we find Soy Luna who is also about a young girl who for reasons also moves to Buenos Aires. We can only assume that Buenos Aires is a fun city!
Unlike Violetta and Soy Luna, Jessie is a small town girl from Texas who moves to – tada! – New York instead of Buenos Aires, where she takes a job as a nanny for a rich family’s four children.
We can understand that all readers over the age of 13 began to despair, but remember that Disney Plus is also a service for children. With that said, we can happily announce that Marvel‘s Loki has placed itself in the top 10 list. And if you have not seen it, we can warmly recommend that you do.
Homer and his family hardly need any further presentation. The Simpsons is the TV series that has gone the furthest of all series. As many as 706 episodes. Sit on the couch and laugh at all the times Homer gets sick.
Grey’s Anatomy is a multiple Emmy-nominated television series set at Seattle Grace Hospital. This one is also a long-distance runner; the first episode premiered in March 2005. The name is a pun on the famous anatomy book Gray’s Anatomy.
The Clone Wars
The animated film The Clone Wars takes us on an adventure with Anakin Skywalker and Ahsoka Tano, who are in the middle of a dangerous mission to save the kidnapped son of the criminal Jabba the Hutt.
A TV series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), three weeks after the movie Avengers: Endgame took place. Wanda Maximoff and Vision live an idyllic suburban life in the city of Westview and try to hide their powers. When strange things start to happen in the city, the couple realizes that things are not as they seem.
Something tells us that gangs of 30-year-olds’ nostalgia trip contributed to Ducktales making it onto the list. Join in when Ankeborg’s most famous trillionaire Joakim von Anka and his nephews Knatte, Fnatte and Tjatte embark on all kinds of adventures.
The animated film “Raya and the last dragon” takes you to the fantasy world Kumandra, where humans and dragons once lived together. When evil attacked, the dragons sacrificed themselves to save humanity. Now, 500 years later, the same evil force has returned. It is up to Raya to find the legendary last dragon to restore the damaged kingdom and its divided people.
Pixar goes from the obvious to the obvious. In Själen we meet Joe Gardner, a middle school music teacher who gets the chance of a lifetime to play at the best jazz club in town. A small mistake takes him from the streets of New York to the Great Before – a place where souls get their personalities, peculiarities and interests before they are sent to earth. Joe joins the precocious soul 22, who never understood the allure of the experience of becoming human. Has everything you would expect from a Pixar roll.
A classic Christmas movie that works all year round. 8-year-old Kevin McCallister has been accidentally left behind when the family hurried away over Christmas. Disney and Pixar’s original film Luca is a story about a young boy who experiences a summer in a beautiful lake town on the Italian riverian. Luca shares the adventure with his new friend Alberto, but a secret threatens all the fun: beneath the surface of the water they are sea monsters from another world.
Emma Stone stars in Cruella, a live action film about the origins of one of film history’s most infamous villains: Cruella de Vil. The film takes place in the middle of the 1970s punk revolution in London and follows the young swindler Estella, a smart and creative girl who is determined to become a successful designer.
The last part of the Infinity saga where the Avengers face Thanos in a century of showdown. After Thanos wiped out half the world’s population, the remaining heroes fight to restore order and harmony in the universe and bring back their loved ones.
Avatar takes us to the fantastic world of Pandora, where a man embarks on a fantastic journey filled with love and adventure and ultimately fights to save the place he now calls his home. James Cameron, the Oscar-winning director behind Titanic, gives us an immersive cinema experience where revolutionary technology meets engaging characters in a timeless, emotional story. The world’s most lucrative film.
A live-action adventure of the animated film Mulan, where a fearless young woman risks everything and becomes one of China’s greatest warriors of all time. A journey that turns her into a respected warrior and gives her the nation’s respect. If you do not like it, we suggest you watch the animated version with English sound instead. Eddie Murphy who gives the voice to the dragon Mu_Shu is phenomenal.
Natasha Romanoff, better known as Black Widow, deals with her past in this action-packed movie. When Natasha is chased by an unstoppable force that wants to destroy her, she must deal with her background as a spy – and all the broken relationships she left behind.
