It seems that Apple has launched a new offensive in its App Store against old apps. In an email that was screened and shared by a bunch of developers with apps on the App Store, Apple says that they will delete the app in question as it has not been updated for a long time, writes The Verge. However, if the app is updated within 30 days, it will be allowed to remain.

Several developers have protested against the procedure, saying that games can be current and valuable even if they have not been updated for a long time. One developer calls it an “unfair obstacle to indie developers” who may not have the time or resources to keep all apps up to date.

As early as 2016, Apple began warning that it would start deleting “abandoned” apps.
