The best Apple accessories launched at the CES show

Satechi 165W USB-C 4

Satechi’s new 165W charger looks like a mini-Mac.

We do not usually go for a charger, but Satechi 165W usb-c charger with four inputs is definitely something we like. Its four USB-C ports can power four devices simultaneously (two with a maximum of 100W and two with a maximum of 60W), with enough power to charge your Macbook Pro, quickly charge your Iphone 13, Ipad and keep your Airpods topped. But what makes the Satechi charger unique is the tiny little stand that makes it resemble a small Mac Pro.

Scosche Magsafe speakers

With products limited to cases and batteries, Magsafe has not really lived up to the promise it had when Apple launched it more than a year ago. However, CES is an indication that this is about to change. The manufacturer of smartphone accessories, Scosche, has revealed a pair of speakers that take advantage of Apple’s Magsafe mechanism for Iphone 12 and 13.

Boom Can MS is an ipx7-rated portable speaker that attaches to the back of the Iphone that reaches five hours of playback on a 1.5-hour charge. Boom Bottle MS is a cylindrical speaker with a Magsafe pad that attaches to the Iphone. It has two passive subwoofers and a 10W speaker as well as an equalizer and a built-in bottle opener (!). Like the Boom Can MS, it is ipx7-rated. Both devices only use Magsafe to stay connected, rather than add some extra features, but it’s still nice to see a company embracing the platform.

Eve Homekit camera

Eve Outdoor Cam
Eve Outdoor Cam

Smart home products are always great at CES, but Apple is usually left out of all the fun. But not this year. Among the many Homekit launches were a couple of products from Eve Systems designed to integrate with Iphone and Icloud +.

Eve Outdoor Cam and Motion Blinds can be accessed with an Iphone or Ipad locally or remotely when using a Homepod or Apple TV as a home hub. The camera is a combination of a 1080p outdoor camera and an LED headlight. The camera records video at 24 frames per second and stores the encrypted file in the user’s Icloud account.
