The Gone Home studio’s new is the road trip adventure Open Roads

Fullbright Company, the studio behind the strange and unique first-person adventures Gone Home and Tacoma, announced its new game at The Game Awards last week. It’s called Open Roads and is presented as a road trip mystery, where daughter and mother try to sneak out grandma’s past.

The trailer does not show any actual game sequences, but the graphics smell very much Firewatch, mixed with hand-drawn, comic book-like characters. We also find out that mother and daughter are voiced by Keri Russell (Felicity Porter in the TV series Felicity) and Kaitlyn Dever (Justified, Last Man Standing and last year’s Netflix drama Unbelieveable), and that the game will be “released soon” via Steam. Do we dare to hope for a launch just in time for spring?
