While the walkthrough with the game’s producer Eiji Aonuma gave us insight into new game mechanics to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, we get a spellbinding display of the game’s story in this final trailer. The music is fantastic and the views we’re treated to speak for an adventure that couldn’t possibly be more epic than Breath of the Wild!

Among the interesting details the trailer revealed, we saw Link controlling a home-built stone mecha! Donkey Kong is said to be jealous of Link, who in one scene drives a motorized mining cart through a lava-filled cave while fighting a mechanical enemy. We also see him driving a horse and cart, parrying attacks by attaching a shield to his sword.
The wealth of invention players will be able to show The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom makes me smile from ear to ear. I can’t save myself until I get a chance to re-enter Hyrule myself. And this time not only explore its beautiful expanses, but also its skies! And judging from the trailer, it looks like we’re also heading down into its underworld.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will be released on May 12, 2023 exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
