The world’s best CS: GO player chorused – congratulations by the Swede

Who really is the world’s best CS: GO player is always a hot topic, and few people manage to remain impartial in the discussions regarding favorite players. When it comes down to it, however, most players and supporters agree that the ranking list “Top 20 players of 20XX” as HLTV.org releases annually is the most accurate fingerprint.

When the third place for 2020 was released to the Danish Device, the two remaining competitors became obvious. The Ukrainian “S1mple” who plays for the team Navi was pitted against the Frenchman Mathieu “Zywoo” Herbaut in Vitality. The same two players who also topped the 2019 list, when the Frenchman got the top spot.

Also this year, “Zywoo” managed to place higher and thus became one of only three players who managed to win the prize twice. The other two are the Brazilian “Coldzera” and the Swede Christopher “GeT_RiGhT” Alesund who won in 2013 and 2014. “Welcome to the two-way club”, wrote the recently retired Swede in a Twitter posts to congratulate “Zywoo”,

On the remaining list are two Swedes represented, “Krimz” and “Brollan” who both play in the all-Swedish team Fnatic. “Krimz” remained in the same position as last year, 17, while “Brollan” climbed four places to be announced as the 15th best player in the world.
