This is how you watch the season’s winter sports on TV and online

As of this season, Nent (the company behind Viaplay) has bought a lot of broadcasting rights concerning winter sports, which in turn means a changed sports offer on SVT.

What will be shown on Viaplay is the world cup in alpine, cross-country skiing, ski jumping, Nordic combination, snowboarding, freestyle and freeskiing. In addition, there are already purchased rights such as speed skating, figure skating and short track.

Some of the broadcasts will be shown on linear channels such as TV6 and TV10 from 20 November, but if you want to see rubb and stubb you have to sign up for the new subscription Viaplay Medium which costs SEK 329 per month. Until January 10, however, you can take advantage of a promotional offer that means that you get away with SEK 129 per month during the first three months.

If you also want to be able to watch the NHL, Premier League, Formula 1 and golf, you need to sign up Viaplay Total which costs SEK 449 per month.
