Ubisoft Forward: A Summary | interspersed

Ubisoft yesterday held a live broadcast called Ubisoft Forward. As a kind of replacement for the publisher’s E3 presentation, it meant a lot of outdoor advertising and other great news. Here we summarize what Ubisoft shared in both the main event and the preview.

Ubisoft Forward: The show

Just Dance 2020 had to carry the torch first and did so with an expansion pack called Vitual Paradise. The package contains six new songs and one tournament mode, and will be released on July 23. Just Dance 2020 released in November 2019 and available on PC, Google Stadium, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Wii (!), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet is a TV series produced for Apple TV + that is about developing games. It is a drama comedy with many references to actual games. Studio Ubisoft Redmont was commissioned to run the line out and make a sand song title from the game available for real, to “keep the show authentic”. A full look behind the scenes will be released within the next few days.

The Crew 2 from Ubisoft Ivory Tower will receive more content in August, including the package Flashy 80s. The game’s latest update, The summer in Hollywood, is also available since a few days back.

The Division 2the rubber ducks are now canonized. These rubber ducks were initially reference points for the developers regarding the game’s level design, but are now a piece of history in the game.

Trials Rising gets a new endurance challenge on July 16: Gigatrick. It will be the series’ biggest run to date.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint will receive an injection in the form of a couple of updates. First off are AI companies that join the game on July 15. In addition to giving these orders, you will be able to completely change their shape, appearance, clothing and equipment.

Indie Developer

Three indie developers each got their share of the spotlight during the pre-show. The first out was Mensch-Maschinen, who had to present The Curious Expedition 2. The game has been available since June 17 via Early Access on Steam.

Indie developer number two was Bossa Studios who had to present Surgeon Simulator 2. With a release already next month, it is not far off.

Thunder Lotus are the senses behind the games Jotun and sundered. During Ubisoft Forward, they were given the opportunity to present their upcoming game: Spiritfarer. The game is described as a “cozy management game about dying” and will appear on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Ubisoft Forward: The main event

Watch Dogs Legion will be released on October 29 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC (via Steam, Uplay and Epic Game Store). Ports for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X also come when these consoles are available. More information can be found here.

Brawl Halla, the Super Smash Bros-like fighting game, is released on iOS and Android devices. You will be able to fight players on other devices via cross-play. The game will be released on August 6.

Two new mobile games from Ubisoft got some space: Might & Magic: Era of Chaos and Tom Clancy’s Elite Squad. Might & Magic has been out since November last year on Andoir and iOS devices; Elite Squad “coming soon”.

Hyper Scape is now in open beta testing with no confirmed release date. The target machines are PC, xbox One and PlayStation 4. Hyper Scape takes place in 2054 and plays as a Battle Royale with a Matrix-like dispute. Beta testing is free through Ubisoft’s website.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla got a release date on November 17 this year along with a lot of information. The game comes on both current and next-generation consoles, but the date is only current. Read more here.

Far Cry 6 it also got a release date: February 21, 2021. The date applies to PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Here is more info.

Many new dates and very new to look forward to in the autumn and winter from Ubisoft, that is. Maybe a new benefit of digital events? What do you think?
