Ubisoft has held its latest Ubisoft Forward broadcast and with it comes of course a hefty dose of news. Here we collect the evening’s announcements, release dates and other goodies that were said during the evening.
Immortals Fenyx Rising
The previous title Gods & Monsters did not stand. Ubisoft’s zelda-eska open world with Greek mythology as a background was presented in great detail. The game will be released on December 3 this year on Stadia, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series (S and X), Playstation 4, PlayStation 5 (upon release) and PC (Epic Games and Ubisoft’s own services).
Stadia users will receive an exclusive demo consisting of a unique island in the game. However, the date of this demo was not announced. Upon release, Immortals Fenyx Rising will receive a Gold Edition with the basic game, Season Pass and extra game content in the form of quests and costumes.
Prince of Persia: Sands of time Remake
A reworked new version of the original game from 2003. Here we got glimpses of gameplay from an alpha version and comparisons with the original. Despite the name alpha, the release date is just under four months away: January 21 next year. The platforms are so far Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, but a nextgen port is not far away.
Rainbox Six Seige will be nextgen and will have a world tour
It is noticeable that Rainbox Six Seige is an insanely appreciated game. It will now receive a free update which means that the game will take full advantage of the extra horsepower of Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 for nextgen players. However, upgrading players will still be able to enjoy the game with friends who choose to continue playing on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
At the same time, the newest season kicks off now, and from September 17, players can unlock Sam Fisher (from Splinter Cellgames) for Renown or R6 credits. Sam even got a nice animated trailer. They also took the opportunity to announce the first world cup in the game.
Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World The Game Complete Edition
With a preliminary release date for Christmas this year, there are probably many who already know what they want as a Christmas present. Scott Pilgrim’s very long license game title is finally making a comeback on today’s machines after being away for new customers since December 30, 2014. Hopefully we will also get a physical version this time. Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World The Game Complete Edition will be released this Christmas, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Stadia and PC (via Ubisoft’s own channels).
Watch Dogs Legion: more gameplay + Pierce
It is not far to go Watch Dogs Legion arriving now. Its release date of October 29 stands despite the world situation, and Ubisoft took the opportunity to showcase more quests, characters and gameplay from the upcoming game. The series’ original protagonist Aiden Pearce also made his debut. He will join your set of players if you buy the season pass, and have exclusive, story-based missions.
Riders Republic, extreme sport for many players
Riders Republic is a brand new game from Ubisoft that hugs the extreme sport. It is played in an open world together with other players where you can challenge each other in cycling, skiing, snowboarding or flying suit – with or without rockets involved. Among the game modes are classics such as race and tricks, but also giant races of over 50 players (so-called Mass Starts), up to 6-on-6 in teams, as well as hot online tournaments.
Riders Republic will be released on February 25 next year on the platforms PC (Epic Store and Ubisoft’s own services), PlayStation 4-5, Xbox Series S + X and Xbox One as well as Stadia. A free next-gen upgrade is offered for players purchasing the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One editions.
And a little bit more…
In addition to the broadcast, Ubisoft came up with a little more good news:
- Just Dance 2021 gets nine new tracks, from Michael Gray, Paradisio and Eminem, among others. The game will be released on November 12 this year.
- Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Breakpoint episode 3 is coming out on September 15th. This part has a new part in the story (Red Patriot), a new class (Pathfinder) and some updates for PvP as well as other goodies.
- Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Warlords of New York gets the new game mode The Summit: a challenge tower for one or more players. Season 3 starts soon (September 22, same as for the new game mode). Forward compatibility with next-generation consoles is now also confirmed.
