Ubisoft says we will “see more of” The Division this year

A month ago we found out that Swedish The Divisiondevelopers Massive Entertainment is developing a new open world style Star Wars game. We already know that Massive is busy with the new Avatar game, which has given rise to some questions about The Divisions future.

During a quarterly conversation with investors (via our international colleagues), however, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot commented on Massive’s situation, and came up with a reassuring message for all thirsty The Division-fans.

– We are very happy to collaborate again with Lucasfilm Games [med det nya Star Wars-spelet]. The project is led by our Massive studio, which will take advantage of their state-of-the-art technology, including the Snowdrop engine, to deliver a groundbreaking Star Wars adventure. We are very proud of this collaboration.

– The Massive studio is a large studio, and they will also collaborate with lots of other studios around the world… you will see more of The Division this year and the year after.

It’s about more The Division 2-dlc or a full-fledged The Division 3? We can only wait and see.
