will your bike hold the SHOCK?

As always with large AAAs, it is better to check before any installation (and therefore purchase) that your PC has the capacity to run them, under penalty of unpleasant surprises. For Battlefield 2042 here is what you need to know in terms of hardware and software configuration.

This is via a leak on the site videogameschronicle that we can know the configuration of Battlefield 2042 for what appears to be in fact a technical beta scheduled for next week, presented in an email to the press:

Minimum configuration:

  • BONE : 64-bit Windows 10
  • Processor : AMD FX-8350 or Intel Core i5 6600K
  • RAM : 8 GB
  • Graphics Cards : AMD Radeon RX 560 or Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
  • DirectX : 12

Configuration recommends:

  • BONE : 64-bit Windows 10
  • Processor : AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Processor or Intel Core i7 4790
  • RAM : 16 GB
  • Graphics Cards : Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT
  • DirectX : 12

An RTX 2060 is still very reasonable for a recommended configuration and we hope that such a card will actually allow the game to run in good conditions.

We remember that at the time of the release of Battlefield V that you needed a strong enough GPU to profile the game with a high level of detail.

Battlefield 2042 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series October 22, 2021.
