Update: The more we look at this, the more we think it’s a simple mistake by the Microsoft Rewards team. Almost everything about this offer is the same as the Windows PC version, including the trailer and description, and the “Installation” section only mentions Windows 10. We’ll let you know when we have more details to share.

Original Story: Microsoft does not own the company behind mega mobile hit Candy Crush not yet (although progress is being made on that front), but it looks like we might get the game on Xbox for the first time in the near future.

Microsoft Rewards is already promoting the title on Xbox, which takes you to the product page when you click the link. There’s no release date, but we assume it will be quite soon – as long as the listing isn’t a mistake, of course.

Interestingly, there was also an Xbox One supported version of Candy Crush Saga spotted in August and September 2022 by several Xbox users as part of their game libraries, and it still exists with the “Xbox One” tag if you search for it in the official Xbox mobile app, but as far as we know you can’t access it on the console. For what it’s worth, there are several other games with the “Xbox One” tag on the official Xbox app that aren’t accessible on the console either.

Microsoft already offers the game on several platforms, including Windows PC, so an Xbox version makes sense. We’ll just have to wait and see if it comes to fruition, and if it will be properly optimized for the console, if so.
